Hi, I’m Allison.

Wife.

Mother.

Teacher.

Family Law Attorney.

In addition to being a wife and a mother, a teacher and a family law attorney, I am also a recent breast cancer survivor.

All of these aspects of my life have shaped my legal practice into one focused exclusively on amicable resolutions to family conflict and educating clients on the law and legal process.

My story starts here, but my future is wide open. So is yours.

Having been a teacher in Chicago for many years before attending law school, my passion lies at the intersection of both family law and education. My clients are not only represented and guided through their legal matters with personal attention, but also are taught about the legal process and the varying options available when deciding how their future post divorce will look.

I have extensive experience representing clients in all types of divorce and child custody cases, in trials, mediations and informal negotiations. Through this experience it is clear the most successful divorces occur when clients are knowledgable about the legal process and the potential outcomes of their case, and are able to prepare both personally and financially for the divorce case and their post-divorce future before starting their legal case. Sometimes that is not an option, in which case we will work through the hurdles together. Commitment to an amicable resolution always serves clients best by providing a more efficient, less expensive, out of court process which reduces conflict and extra “noise” that is not necessary in a divorce.

Each divorce case is unique and so are the people behind it. It is crucial to understand the divorce process, the different paths available to choose in shaping your future, and understanding how those choices will play-out in real life. Take the time to learn what you need to know and how to privately prepare for divorce before ever starting the legal process, or learn these valuable insights as you are going through your divorce. Reach out today to schedule your Pre-Divorce Guidance session and learn more about the amicable divorce process.

Your story can have any next chapter that you would like. Let me guide you how best to get there.
